Raising Profiles

You're a force for good dear Clair.

Since we engaged Cause UK to raise the profile of the Veterans’ Artisan Bakery, the media’s interest in this project has gone through the roof. Cause UK played a key role in raising much of the funding necessary to allow the Veterans’ Artisan Bakery to get off the ground. Then it handled the media launch. The result? Extensive TV, radio and newspaper coverage, not to mention unprecedented interest online.

“The Malton Dickens Fest was glorious. It’s a beautiful town (my first visit) & the Milton Rooms was really rocking. Our show was sold out for a start, always gratifying and the audience were ‘up’ for Dickens and Prof. Michael Slater and me. We were really thrilled to feel our offerings were enjoyed and applauded (standing ovation!!) and the interval ‘Smoking Bishop’ punch & mince pies were a tremendous treat. I want this to be an Annual Event. And I want Malton to realise they have a double jewel – their town AND THE CHRISTMAS CAROL. Now it can be shared by the world for those days. Don’t keep it a secret!”

I immediately contacted two people who I knew had the talent and tenacity to help secure the book. Clair Chadwick, a tireless local charity campaigner, and Stephen Joll, a philanthropic local businessman, were as inspired as I was. They worked like Trojans petitioning for funds.
