Media for our client Harrogate Festivals is hotting up for the summer.

This month we were thrilled to help The Guardian collate some of the world’s best crime writers in their epic feature in Review magazine, a tribute to the fact the genre is now the most popular in the UK. Lee Child, Ian Rankin, Val McDermid, Laura Lippman…to name a few – all picked their favourite ever crime novel. It’s a brilliant read if you’re looking for some top holiday beach reads in the coming months, before you meet all the starry authors in Harrogate!

We also did a story for BBC Arts on the rise of crime (fiction), and lined up a feature involving fast cars and Lee Child in the Sunday Times (watch this space!). The London launch party featured in local media and The Bookseller, alongside an interview we set up with the Press Association with Lee Child while in town. The festival has also been picked for the event pages in BA’s in-flight magazine, and a top festival for Good Housekeeping magazine, Country Living, the Financial Times and the Mail on Sunday.

As well as the usual busy crime schedule, the Music Festival is back with a bang, with the return of the brilliant Spiegeltent, a Children’s Festival, and some rather unique walk-in art installations planned. The diverse programme also includes a 1940s weekend, and Long Table dining event. It’s a feast of festivals!
