Eliot is hosting a star-studded charity concert in his hometown, Sheffield (at Sheffield City Hall) on his birthday to celebrate with some of the famous musicians he’s written hit songs for. His birthday bash is raising funds for Challenge Derbyshire.
Acts include, Gary Barlow, Alfie Boe, S Club, X-Factor stars and more.
Eliot has sold millions of records worldwide. His first no.1 hit was Take That’s Everything Changes, which he co-wrote with Gary and which started their long running song-writing partnership – he also co-wrote the recent hit Broadway musical, Finding Neverland, with Gary. They co-wrote 2012’s biggest selling single, Sing (the official song for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee).
Eliot has done many incredible things with Barlow (filming around the Commonwealth for Sing – including with Prince Harry); he went to Camp Bastion with Barlow for their ITV documentary, Journey to Afghanistan (entertaining the troops).
Eliot’s first global success was the Spice Girls single, Say You’ll Be There, and he went on to have more smash hits with them; the band even lived in his house at the start of their career.
He’s also written/ produced songs with Celine Dion, Boyzone, Blue, S Club 7, Five, Billie Piper, Atomic Kitten, Bryan Adams and Donny Osmond. He and Bryan co-wrote Mel C’s hit, When You’re Gone.
