We are delighted to welcome Sheena Hastings to the Cause UK team.

Sheena Hastings studied languages at Leeds University before NCTJ training in print journalism at Sheffield Morning Telegraph. She went on to work in regional TV at Yorkshire Television, researching and producing news, features and documentary programming. She worked in Barcelona and in breakfast television in London before returning to Yorkshire and environmental programmes as well as a long series of medical documentaries. A yearning to write again drew her back to newspapers, and for many years she was chief feature writer at The Yorkshire Post – a role which included managerial responsibilities, commissioning and editing, alongside a broad spectrum of writing, from personality interviews with politicians, writers and entertainers to news backgrounders and analysis of current affairs. Sheena writes features, speeches and life stories, as well as editing and ghost writing. She has been a school governor and an organiser of camps and other events for the young people’s global friendship and peace network CISV.

Welcome Sheena!
