Ann and Clair Challenor-Chadwick are not only Directors of Cause UK but also, Directors of the Veterans’ Artisan Bakery CIC, a health and well-being training kitchen established with Clair’s fundraising help in 2012. We have been on a long journey with the bakery and have elicited support from high profile celebrities such as Marco Pierre White and Rosemary Shrager.
We have provided significant media support and achieved coverage on BBC Inside Out, The Telegraph, BBC The Food Programme, the Yorkshire Post, BBC Look North and Calendar News.
We also launched our very own biscuits with Rosemary Shrager’s support. This year we received a grant to help us with a new phase, we have worked with Greggs the bakers to help with strategic planning and now we are undergoing a re-brand and business development work to help capacity build the project.
