Launched in July 2015, Ampleforth Plus chocolates use only the finest Belgian chocolate to create a range of artisan chocolates, truffles and novelty items, hand-crafted by our expert chocolatiers.
Ampleforth Plus is the trading name of a social enterprise wholly owned by the Yorkshire based charity, Autism Plus and is situated in the heart of the Howardian Hills, near the picturesque market town of Helmsley, North Yorkshire.
A series of derelict farm buildings belonging to the Ampleforth Abbey estate – the neighbouring Benedictine monastery and College – have been transformed into a bespoke chocolate factory with a difference – it is designed to provide training, work experience and job opportunities for adults with autism and associated learning disabilities.
The enterprise manufactures its own range of artisan chocolates as well as producing bespoke ranges to order. It has the in-house capability to literally make ‘anything in chocolate’ including hand sculptured and decorated table top masterpieces.
We cater for a range of customers including members of the public via our online shop, trade customers ranging from artisan retailers to farm shops, to restaurants, hotels and corporate customers looking for the perfect gift for staff or clients.
We’ve already established an excellent reputation for quality and design; our customer care is second to none putting the needs of all our customers at the forefront of our business.
We are currently looking to add new trade customers into our mix and have identified you as exactly the type of customer we would like to work with.
