Cause UK Public Relations is delighted to be representing Widd. Widd founded in 1888 has been a stalwart of the Leeds business landscape and fabric of the high street for 135 years. It is one of Yorkshire’s highest growth businesses.
With its Head Office and factory in Leeds, Holbeck and an auxiliary factory in St Helens in Merseyside, it has 83 staff and has a turnover of £12m.

Widd has been trusted by household names and global retailers to create iconic signage and branding that stand the test of time. Including Primark, Marks & Spencer, JD Sports, Schuh, Next, Benson for Beds, Astonish and Berry’s Jewellers.
From their Leeds factory, Widd has produced designs and installations that are recognised and celebrated across the UK and internationally – a true export of Yorkshire skill and innovation. It delivers high-quality signage across the UK, Europe, the USA, and the UAE.
Widd is Constructionline Gold Member for demonstrating quality and innovation and is recognised as one of the top 50 highest growth businesses in the Yorkshire and Humber; the business features in the Business Desk 2025 Yorkshire Growth Index.
In the past year alone, Widd has delivered projects across the UK, while expanding installations across mainland and Eastern Europe and, more recently, in Kuwait.

Today, Widd is entering a bold new chapter with the launch of its refreshed brand, logo, vision, and mission – reaffirming its roots in Yorkshire while embracing an increasingly international outlook. The company’s reputation is built on precision, reliability, and excellence – qualities that embody Yorkshire values and resonate worldwide.
What sets Widd apart is its ability to adapt and thrive across generations. It remains proudly independent, proudly Yorkshire, and proudly international in outlook. The business has invested in sustainable design and manufacturing processes, ensuring it continues to lead with responsibility as well as creativity.
Widd is not just a design and signage company – it is an ambassador for Yorkshire craftsmanship, showing the world that the county’s traditions of quality, integrity, and creativity are as relevant today as they were 100 years ago.
