Steven Moffat, Sue Vertue and the Sherlock World Record

Jet-lagged Sherlock and Dr Who writer STEVEN MOFFAT and wife, TV Producer SUE VERTUE, sent a video message of support for the Sherlock World Record, on 31st August at Temple Newsam in Leeds.  The event and social media campaign was organised by Cause UK, to help raise money and awareness for the Yorkshire Brain Research Centre.

Steven and Sue very graciously filmed this video with the help of their children on their first day back at home, after their successful Emmy award wins earlier on that week. They donated a BBC Sherlock script which was signed by all the cast, including Benedict Cumberbatch, and writers, for the best dressed Sherlock and encouraged Sherlock fans to TEXT BRAIN to 88811 to DONATE £5 to brain research, a much underfunded area.

The #sherlockselfie viral campaign has gone global and has helped to raise thousands of pounds for the Yorkshire Brain Research Centre.
