Help for Heroes Charity Concert

FISO_Logo (2)-page-001In November 2013, songwriter to the stars, Eliot Kennedy, visited Camp Bastion in Afghanistan with Gary Barlow on a mission to entertain the troops. It became an ITV documentary, Journey to Afghanistan.

It was an experience Eliot says, changed his life.

Cause UK is proud to be supporting Eliot to host the UK’s first concert raising funds around mental health for war veterans and those serving in the Armed Forces.

On the 12 November, 1,000 people will have the exclusive opportunity to be wined, dined and sensationally entertained.

Eliot will host this very special charity concert HIDDEN WOUNDS featuring his friends and SPECIAL STAR GUESTS.

The concert will be hosted over a luxury three-course dinner in the iconic setting of the ‘Vulcan to the Sky’ air hangar in Doncaster, featuring the Vulcan XH558 in her original Cold War hanger.

All profits go to Help for Heroes’ Hidden Wounds – helping address the hidden mental health epidemic among war veterans and those serving in the Forces.

This concert is being supported by singer, Joanne Heselden in memory of her father.

Her father, Jimi Heselden, was 62 when he died in a tragic accident. The businessman founded the Leeds-based firm Hesco Bastion, which developed the revolutionary ‘blast wall’ basket, which protects soldiers.

Its thought to have saved thousands of lives. Camp Bastion is named after his invention.

In 2006, he gave £1.5m to Help for Heroes. His family wished his legacy to live on in the many charities he supported in his lifetime.

This concert is in memory of Jimi, and to continue his legacy; helping those who have served in the Forces.
