We really enjoyed a photo shoot under Harrogate’s famous blossoms with photographer extraordinaire, and Cause UK associate, Charlotte Graham for tourism agency Visit Harrogate.
Bettys kindly lent us a model waitress, Chelsea Hudson, to celebrate the launch of a new Eat Drink Guide of the district’s vibrant food and drink scene. Photos were taken at Harrogate’s famous Cherry tree blossoms.

Sponsored by Visit Harrogate and BadCo Brewery, the guide has been designed and produced by Festival Publications and FoxDuo Design, the team behind the entertainment guide, Harrogate Review.
Eat:Drink Harrogate is designed to inspire visitors and residents to explore and enjoy the local food and drink offer. Visit Harrogate have been heavily involved in the development of the guide, which forms part of their wider campaign to develop the district’s tourism industry.
Richard Spencer, CEO of Visit Harrogate, said: “There are many great reasons to visit Harrogate but we have noticed in recent years the significant growth in the value of our eating and drinking market which now exceeds £75m. Coming here to enjoy our hospitality is as important to our visitors as our shopping experiences. It’s also important to our visitor economy that employs over 7,000 people.”
Over 60 food and drink businesses will feature in the free guide, which is intended to become the first volume of an annual series.
Festival Publications director, Haigh Simpson, said: “Most of the people we spoke to immediately grasped what we were trying to do and threw their support behind it. The food and drink offer in Harrogate is something to be proud of and this publication really shows that off.”
Richard added: “Harrogate is known for its good taste with a diverse offer, from fine dining to traditional pubs, tearooms and delis. Yorkshire’s reputation for outstanding food and drink is distilled in Harrogate’s mix of independent restaurants and familiar high street names that cater for all appetites and tastes. It’s a gourmet hotspot.”
Harrogate has the UK’s 12th largest number of high scoring restaurants in Harden’s 100 Best Restaurants ranking.
Eat:Drink Harrogate will be available to pick up for free from mid May in all participating venues and cultural destinations across the district. It will also be replicated online through the number one Google ranked destination website, www.visitharrogate.co.uk
