Cause UK’s MD Clair secured BBC’s popular Countryfile to film at the Himalayan Gardens and Sculpture Park for their autumn special.

Tune in 3 November

Clair pitched a range of ideas to the producers for months on the run up to filming. The show then incorporated another attraction in North Yorkshire – Thorp Perrow – into the film. The episode will also include a segment from the Channel Island, Alderney.

Clair sourced a cellular biologist working with plants from Leeds University to explain on the show why leaves turn red in autumn and green in spring.

‘A slice of paradise’

Since helping to promote ‘Yorkshire’s Hidden Gem’, Cause UK has achieved a new Patron for the Himalayan Gardens – Joanna Lumley – who described it as a ‘slice of paradise’.

We began working with the Gardens for their spring season, significantly raising the profile of the attraction near Ripon which is ran by a charitable trust, The Hutts Foundation.

Increased footfall

Will Roberts who runs the Gardens said: “We have recently started working with Clair at Cause and have already seen an increase in footfall on the back of the national coverage they have generated for the Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park – many thanks Clair & Ann.”
