Cause UK was founded by Clair Challenor-Chadwick. Clair, a graduate of the University of Warwick and the University of California, Clair worked for several years in the City of London in financial services and subsequently for over a decade in the Third Sector, with management qualifications in marketing and business.
Clair was highly commended in the category of Director of the Year ‘Corporate Social Responsibility’ at the IOD Director of the Year Awards 2018 (Yorkshire and North East) at the Principal Hotel in York on 5th July 2018.
Clair won the 2014 Institute of Directors’ Yorkshire and Humber “Director of the Year Award” for the public and not for profit sector and was also shortlisted for the national awards in London. This year, Clair has been nominated for the IOD Director of the Year Awards for Yorkshire and the North East.
Clair was a founding Director of the Veterans’ Artisan Bakery at Catterick and was a trustee of Martin House Children’s Hospice in Wetherby for three years. She is also a Member of the Advisory Board for Leeds Beckett University’s Faculty of Business and Law and a fundraising consultant to the Archbishop of York Youth Trust.

Ann is a Director of Cause UK and sister to Clair. Ann has a background as a feature writer on regional newspapers with stints in the Channel Islands on the Guernsey Press and as Editor of the Alderney Journal before she joined the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.
Ann regularly writes on behalf of our clients for regional and national newspapers and magazines. She is an experienced PR Account Manager with strong contacts in regional and national press.
