Since September 2017, Cause UK has represented Nidderdale AONB. A large proportion of work has been on visitor engagement. We work creatively and partner with relevant organisations including Yorkshire Water, the Woodland Trust and tourism agencies.

We have written and placed features and press releases aimed at visitors on wildlife, walking, cycling, and culture/heritage.

Our work includes writing e-newsletters and blogs for tourism agencies, Visitor Guides and event guides, copy for family-friendly walking/nature guides and brochures.

Cause pitches to TV producers working with researchers resulting in profile on major shows, such as BBC’s River Walks and the Channel 5 series, Springtime on the Farm.

Say it with a Tractor!

In 2019, we joined forces with the 46 Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty to create a media stunt that went global!

For #LandscapeForLife week we asked farmers in Nidderdale to create a heart shape in the landscape with 30 tractors.  Working with the UCI Cycling media team, Visit Harrogate, Nidderdale AONB and local farmers we positioned the tractor art adjacent to Trapping Hill to welcome the UCI World Road Championships Elite Women’s Race.

Trapping Hill is one of the most unrelenting climbs on offer in Nidderdale, with stunning views down the valley, and one of the media highlights of the race. The tractor art was broadcast and commented on by the BBC and seen by a global UCI audience in excess of 225 million across 150 countries.
